In a recent report, The British Medical Association has asked to place a ban on all kinds of smoking in cars which would be in addition to prevailing ban on smoking at public areas.
The recent study has revealed alarming facts. It may up-rise the risk of a range of conditions, including sudden infant death syndrome and asthma, as well as impairing lung function.. According to the study, the level of toxins that smoking in the car produces is alarmingly high as compared to a pub.
Various political wings have shown their concern upon that it would be lot more productive and effective if a public awareness is being prioritized. General public is to educated about that dangers, threats, effects not even on the smokers but also upon the passive smokers, those are just being effected through the smokers habit. Focus should also be on individuals by counseling, teaching and consultation. Effective media campaign could play decisive role in creating awareness making smokers think that will they happy making their cars a toxic swamp for their kids and loved ones. Especially children happens to be more in face of danger due to passive smoking as they absorb hazards more that may lead to affect the development of their immune system.
Smokers are strongly resisting it. According to them car is a personal property for which they spend from their pockets, so there's no justification placing restriction over the such privilege i-e smoking in their cars. If now they are planning to ban smoking in cars which is a private place as well as property perhaps next thing they would be looking at is putting a ban on smoking in their homes as well. Ain't this an invasion of rights? There area very few number of people who smoke while their kids in the car. They have booed the officials and all those people doing effort in that aspect and they have asked all those campaigners to mind their own business and leave the smokers to enjoy their life peacefully.
Last but not the least a wrong thing is a wrong thing. It cannot be justified by any reasons whatsoever. The bottom line is just to make this world a happy and health place for us, for our children and for the upcoming generations.
